S-T-R-E-T-C-H STRETCH, Mehlville School District's state assisted program for students identified as gifted, is now accepting parent referrals for the 2007-2008 school year for students currently enrolled in grades K-7. The STRETCH program provides educational interventions for students whose mental capacity and learning potential are so advanced that they need services beyond the level of those ordinarily provided.
Starting January 17, referral forms will be available from your school office or the STRETCH Office at 69 Randolph Place. If you have questions about the program, contact the STRETCH teacher in your building or call the STRETCH Office at 467-7850. The deadline for completed referrals is February 12, 2007.
Note: This year the STRETCH testing process has been restructured so any student may be referred this year. This will also include the students who were referred last year. |
